1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use Mad Engineering:

  • Account information: name, email address, company name
  • Property documentation: property claims, room inventories, photos, notes
  • Usage data: pages visited, features used, session duration
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information
  • Consent records: acceptance timestamps, IP addresses, and browser information when you agree to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and improve the workspace platform
  • To authenticate your identity and secure your account
  • To store and display your property documentation
  • To generate parcel intelligence reports
  • To comply with legal obligations, including consent recordkeeping
  • To communicate service updates and security notices

3. Property Data Sources

The platform accesses publicly available property records from Florida county appraiser and property tax offices. This includes parcel boundaries, assessed values, ownership records, permit histories, and zoning designations. This data is sourced from public records and does not require your consent to display.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in secure, encrypted databases hosted in the United States (Oregon region). We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), row-level security policies, and access controls to protect your information.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

  • Service providers who assist in operating the platform (hosting, analytics)
  • Law enforcement when required by valid legal process
  • Other users only when you explicitly share a report via the sharing feature

6. Your Rights Under Florida Law

Under the Florida Digital Bill of Rights (effective July 1, 2024), you have the right to:

  • Know what personal data we collect and how it is used
  • Request deletion of your personal data
  • Opt out of the sale of personal data (we do not sell data)
  • Access your data in a portable format
  • Correct inaccurate personal data

7. Consent Records

When you create an account, we record your acceptance of these policies along with your IP address, browser information, the document version accepted, and a timestamp. These records are maintained for compliance purposes and are retained for the duration of your account plus seven years after account deletion.

8. Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. Property documentation is retained until you delete it or request account deletion. Consent records are retained as described in Section 7. Usage and technical data is retained for up to 24 months.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
